Icelandic saxophonist Sigurður Flosason and Danish singer Cathrine Legardh have collaborated for over a decade. In 2011 the released the double CD Land & Sky and received nominations to both the Danish and Icelandic music awards. The CD contained 20 songs by Flosason, written to the lyrics of Legardh. In the aftermath they performed extensively in Denmark and also appeard at festivals in Iceland and Thailand. Now they have renewed their collaboration and a new CD entitled Stilhed og Storm was released by Storyville Records in Copenhagen in June. This time all the lyrics are in Danish. The subject matter is life from various perspectives and the music music takes in a wide range of influences, including the sound of Nordic folk music. Anna Gréta Sigurðardóttir plays piano, Birgir Steinn Theódórssn on bass and Einar Scheving on drums.
