Hróðmar Sigurðsson and Ingibjörg Elsa Turchi join forces and delve into the world of electric guitar and electric bass. They combine “acoustic” and “electric” elements of the instruments to stretch and bend the boundaries that define them. The strengths of both players are utilized in the composition process that took place in collaboration. The duo released the track “Sunray” last February, which has received positive reception. The track is the first from their upcoming album, “+1,” expected to be released this year. The music could be described as a natural extension of their previous albums, “Hróðmar Sigurðsson,” “Meliae,” and “Stropha,” but with a refined sound. The music is melodic, sharp, atmospheric, and driven by improvisation.
