Fríkirkjan í Reykjavík
Saturday August 31st

Music by the German composer Kurt Weill in new arrangements by Þórdís Gerður Jónsdóttir. Weill stands out in Western music history for being one of few composers who composed both in classical style and jazz. All the musicians, playing on this concert, have in common with the composer to be equally skilled in playing improvised music and chamber music and these qualities are utilised in Þórdís’ new arrangements.
