Reykjavík jazz and MÍT Music School present að showcase of local talent. Up and coming young jazz players jump on the bandstand and give it their all.

Erla Hlín Guðmundsdóttir 

Vocalist Erla Hlín Guðmundsdóttir has been getting deserved attention lately and is here leading her quartet for the first time the Reykjavík jazz. The band members this years graduates from MÍT. She will be performing a repertoire of her own music as well as personal favorites. Erla’s music is improv based and her compositions are under the influence of the younger generation of jazz singers such as Cecile McLorin Salvant and Esperanza Spalding.

Alexander Grybos

Alexander is a young guitarist from Reykjanesbær and is considered among the most promising guitarists of his generation on the Icelandic jazz scene.
