Gumbo No. 5 is a newly formed project by Tómas Jónsson—a jazz trio performing original compositions by him. The music is quite funky and melodic. A full-length album was recorded on 8-track tape and will be released in August 2025. The album release concert will take place at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival. None other than Þórir Baldursson will be the special guest, performing on the Hammond organ.

*An Evening Pass is available for every night of the festival at Harpa, granting access to all concerts that evening. All performances take place in Norðurljós Hall (2nd floor). Please note: There are no single-ticket sales for individual evening concerts at Harpa.
