For the past 20 years, Róberta Andersen has collaborated with a wide array of artists across the Icelandic music scene, including Múm, Ólöf Arnalds, Sin Fang, Julianna Barwick, and Pascal Pinon. In recent years, she has also been a member of the band Hist Og, which has garnered attention among Icelandic jazz enthusiasts.
In this solo concert, Róberta brings together the “classics” of Icelandic pop music from the 1960s to the 1980s — referencing artists such as Hljómar, Gylfi Ægisson, and Magnús Eiríksson — and blends them with American jazz standards and her own original compositions. At the core of the performance is free improvisation and the distinctive sonic world of the electric guitar.
An Evening Pass is available for every night of the festival at Harpa, granting access to all concerts that evening. All performances take place in Norðurljós Hall (2nd floor). Please note: There are no single-ticket sales for individual evening concerts at Harpa.*
