Poney Moon is a fantastic band that performs unique compositions by French bassist Nicolas Moreaux, who resides in Iceland. Through Moreaux’s songs, which incorporate a variety of inspirations, including rock sounds, swing music, Americana music, and Icelandic bands, Poney Moon conveys beauty, spaciousness, and joy. Through the pieces, you will be able to identify the following influences: Charles Lloyd, Mugison, Wayne Shorter, Steve Lacy, Adhd, Pat Metheny Band, Pink Floyd, Jón Múli, Miles Davis and Jakob Bro. Moreaux can always provide his unique touch to the band’s sound. Numerous instruments are used, including the following: trumpet, saxophone, piano, bass, organ, or pedal steel. Jimmy Udden (alto sax), Oskar Guðjónsson (saxophone), Snorri Sigurðarson (trumpet), Nico Moreaux (bass), Agnar Már Magnusson (piano), Andres Thor (guitar), Tomas Jónsson (organ and synth). There are old stories amongst the band members, but there’s also a freshness in certain unique connections, making for a very unique lineup where every component seems to listen to and interact with each other. The band will release his debut record on the Spanish label freshsound in the summer 2025, and will then celebrate the release of the record.

An Evening Pass is available for every night of the festival at Harpa, granting access to all concerts that evening. All performances take place in Norðurljós Hall (2nd floor). Please note: There are no single-ticket sales for individual evening concerts at Harpa.*
