Musical meeting with Kham Meslien, with wine and cheese tasting.

In collaboration with  l’Ambassade de France en Islande and Festival de Jazz de Reykjavik

During this musical discussion held at l’Alliance française, Kham Meslien will play musics and summon memories to present a life dedicated to double bass.

His sound comes from arid, shiny landscapes where the matter eases… If Kham Meslien’s compositions evoke great spaces, it’s because the artist uses the natural narrative force of double bass along with the warmth of catchy melodies.

With his looper, his charango and other musical effects, Kham explores his instrument’s sonorities mixed with  loops and impros, reminding us of the first solo records of Henri Texier and pianist Nils Frahm.
