British trumpeter Laura Jurd has been a force in the UK jazz scene from an early age. She won the prestigious Dankworth Prize for composition at 19 and was the first woman in nearly two decades to win the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ jazz award. She has since recorded two albums as a leader and two with her band Dinosaur which made waves on the London jazz scene and beyond. She is a progressive musician drawing upon classical, jazz and folk influences.

Here she teams up with two mainstays of the Icelandic jazz scene (Valdimar Kolbeinn Sigurjónsson on bass and Scott McLemore on drums) for a collective trio sure to impress with elegant, adventurous and free spirited modern jazz.
