The band Skuggamyndir frá Býsans was founded in 2010 and performs a unique blend of music from the Balkan region — music known for its complex rhythms, mystique, and emotional intensity. The band has released two CDs, two digital EPs, and a live concert DVD. These efforts have been well received, with their album Night without Moon earning a nomination for the Icelandic Music Awards in 2014.

Over the past 15 years, the group has performed widely across Iceland and also embarked on shorter tours to North Macedonia, Sweden, Norway, and the Faroe Islands. Everywhere they go, they are met with a warm reception, and their concerts are known to be memorable experiences.

Haukur Gröndal – clarinet
Ásgeir Ásgeirsson – tamboura, bouzouki, and saz baglama
Erik Qvick – percussion
Þorgrímur Jónsson – bass

An Evening Pass is available for every night of the festival at Harpa, granting access to all concerts that evening. All performances take place in Norðurljós Hall (2nd floor). Please note: There are no single-ticket sales for individual evening concerts at Harpa.*
